A Bit About Me
Open Window Creatives was born out of a vast set of artistic skills, and over 30 years of experience and happy customers.
I am a versatile artist who started out pin striping cars and airbrushing T-shirts. I painted whatever people wanted! Cars, boats, signs, shirts, display windows…it didn’t matter as long as I was painting. “I paint what people asked for.”

History Creates Experience
I started out in 1984, pin striping cars with a dagger brush and One Shot enamel. I was given an airbrush and compressor for Christmas shortly after that, so I designed a few T-shirts and added some cool stuff to cars. I hand lettered vehicles, hand painted signs, and yes, even lettered boats.
The holidays kept me busy with store windows, car dealership lots, and of course, more T-shirts for Christmas presents that were custom designed, based on client’s ideas and mine.
Wanting to get away from using chemical based solvents, I transitioned to walls and ceilings using water based products for the most part. I began creating specialty paint finishes, working with specialty plasters, and designing murals from fine art subject matter to children’s themes. If a client couldn’t figure out what to do with a niche, we always created something cool out of it.
I got into Fine Art Restoration for a few years. I learned so much with this transition. I would get the pieces after they were put back together and conserved. It was my job to make the blemishes go away as completely as possible. This profession taught me patience!
By faux finishing a stage set or two, I began to think in more 3D terms. So I started playing around with relief work. I build up the subject matter using mixed mediums and then finish the pieces according to various processes to achieve different looks.
During 4 years of this time, I earned a BFA in Graphic Design. I use my digital skills in freelancing to small businesses who need help getting started with basic print, web, and social media needs. I also use my skills to produce sketches and compositions for my artwork.
Today, I produce what my clients ask for. Sometimes, they know what they want, and other times, they only have a partial idea that I can run with. My services are not the highest, nor are they the lowest. This is my business, and it is my goal to offer each client the best, within their budget. I have many solutions at many different price ranges. I work in my studio or at your location based on the need of the job.
I have the experience behind me to offer valuable solutions for your painting and artistic needs. Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit of my history.
Stay Inspired!
